Over the past few weeks, we have been learning card games to help us practise our mental maths facts. We played ‘Starfish’ using our knowledge of addition and subtraction to make the answer (multiplication and division facts can be used too). To make the game easier we take out J,Q and K. To make the game harder, use more than 2 cards to make the calculation.
We then played paddle to see how quickly we can recall our addition facts. How many can you complete in 2 minutes?
To make the games easier we take out the J,Q and K. To make the game harder we can concentrate on subtraction or multiplication facts.
Have a go at home! 🙂
